Qui-Gon Jinn shot into action faster than Anakin could formulate his next thought. The two master swords-man locking blades and knocking each other all around the marketplace. Maul’s blade, which gleamed red, looked like it wanted blood. There was a savagery in the fighting on Maul’s part. His anger could not only be heard, but felt, physically in the air. Maul’s slashes cut into walls, curtains, and metal structures.

Maul uses the force and flings Qui-Gon into a local restaurant. The patrons, most of whom, were already fleeing. A giant pod racer engine, which was being used to cook the meat, was knocked over when Jinn came flying in. This set the walls on fire. Smoke built up quickly and obscured the air. Maul stepped into the building but could not see anything. Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth he lunged into the smoke. All that could be seen were two blades in the smoke clashing. The fire was not impressed with the fight though and continued to rage on and grow despite the spectacle. Jinn knew his chance was coming, a moment to send Maul flying into the deep freeze where the chef kept the meats. With a quick twist away from Mauls lunge, Jinn pushed Maul back and through the door of the freezer. A wooden beam holding the ceiling cracked and Jinn reached out with the force and snapped it the rest of the way; causing it to collapse and shut the door of the freezer with Maul inside.

By the time Maul cut his way through the very thick door, Jinn, the boy Anakin, and the rest were gone. All that was left was Maul, in the smoking, smoldering rubble…
